        • Pain in the knee cap (Patello-femoral syndrome) commonly occuring when you climb stairs, bend, and squat
      • An overuse injury may be aggravated by your footwear.

    • Your pre and post exercise regime
    • Below par fitness level
    • Poor flexibility
    • Lower body biomechanics/weakness
  • Treat the injury
    • Mobilisation
    • Soft tissue management with massage, possibly enhanced with Hivamat usage if your physiotherapist deems it to be useful
    • Ultrasound, to reduce some of the ache resulting from increased activity
    • Targeted strength-building exercises
  • Advise you on how to prevent a recurrence
