Mandy is currently researching observed breast oedema
following wide local excision (WLE) and radiation in relation
to climatic variations in hot and cold weather. She will be
presenting a paper comparing subjective reporting of breast
sensation and variation in hot and cold weather with objective
measurements of breast oedema using the BLYSS questionnaire at
the World Council
of Physical Therapists Conference in Cape Town, South
Africa in September 2024.
Mandy is also one of a group of Allied Health Lymphoedema
experts who are developing a national management protocol for
breast reconstruction with DIEP
